FAQs

What are the prerequisites?

Open Water

Standard SCUBA, without #FlappySnagHazards

is this a technical diving class?

We will not exceed our No Decompression Limit or go into overhead, so you can make a direct assent to the surface at all times. This training is also useful for recreational dive trips.

Although, you can go for much longer scooter rides if you bring two tanks.

Do I need to have my own gear?

Ownership is not a requirement, but let’s chat about your goals beforehand. We can get you into good gear with a hefty student discount.

Do I need to have my own DPV?

The DPV rental is included for the course and any ‘bonus dives’ added after the course. The class is free with purchase of a Blacktip or Cuda DPV

What you can expect to learn:

    • Dive plan

    • Proper entry

    • Surface use of DPV

    • Descent with DPV

    • Underwater tour

    • Monitor DPV and air consumption

    • Ascent and stop

    • Exit with DPV

What’s in it for you?

You will receive the necessary training to pilot a DPV around recreational dive sites with a buddy. It is also the most enjoyable class to count towards your Master Scuba Diver certification.
